| 説明 | Today We're Here examining stuff at the Computer Museum. Microprocessors are at the heart of computers, and Intel is the historic developer of microprocessors and leading producer still.Shown here, spiraling clockwise from the top right, are the 80386, a flipped-over Pentium with cover broken to show the chip inside, Pentium Pro (highest gold content for recycling purposes), early Pentium, ancient 8086 processor and 8087 math coprocessor, and the 80486 DX2 with built-in math coprocessor. The background is a silicon wafer with a couple hundred 80486 processors etched on the surface (pulled from production for some minor flaw, but saved for educational display).Don't forget, electronics should never be tossed into the trash. 99.9% of a computer's electronics content can be recycled, reclaimed, reused, or repurposed. These chips have enough gold to make the recovery profitable (on a large enough scale), and there are other materials as well. Find your local electronics recycling center and clear out your old gear in an ethical and environmentally friendly way! |
