| 説明 | have noticed that many local historians appear to believe that Bolton Street is in Dublin 7 but as I live next door to Dublin City Comics I know that it is in Dublin 1. North King Street a few houses down the road in in D7.Dublin City Comics on Bolton Street is very popular but what caught my attention was the blue sign near the top of the building which reads as follows: “For Labels of This Ware Dublin Japan Works Stafford St” I must admit that this makes little or no sense.There was a company known as Dublin Japan Works Limited that manufactured fire extinguishers in the early 1960s.I could not locate Stafford Street on any map but when I asked my 97 year mother she could not remember the exact location but she did mention that she thought that Wolfe Tone may have been born in a house on Stafford Street. She was not wrong. Stafford Street has been renamed Wolfe Tone street as he was born there. |
