| 説明 | Anglais: The Lovers of Isrumuniya 4th-6th century A.D. The sculpture, in the Gupta style, represents the son of Dutugemunu Saliya of the law caste (Sadol Kula), in the company of his fiancée Asokamala of the low caste (Sadol Kula), who is seated on one knee. She raises a finger towards the sky in warning of her modesty. The prince is said to have renounced the Anuradhapura throne for love of her. Statue visible in the Museum, Isurumuniya Temple.- Sri Lanka.Français : Les amoureux d'Isrumuniya 4ème-6ème siècle.A-D. La sculpture, de style Gupta, représente le fils de Dutugemunu Saliya de la caste des lois (Sadol Kula), en compagnie de sa fiancée Asokamala de basse caste (Sadol Kula), qui est assise sur un genou. Elle lève un doigt vers le ciel en signe d'avertissement eut égard à sa pudeur. Le prince aurait renoncé au trône Anurâdhapura par amour pour elle.
