| 説明 | 24" x 36"Oil on Canvas, transcription Christianson with adaptation (i turned the fish into my oldest son, and took liberties with the accompaning forms. This is where i started using marbles)sold at Carolines LLC exhibition 2003My oldest son Toph had just moved out for the first time, and would show up every now and then at the studio asking for money for food (like they all do when they move out) i would ask what happened to the money i just gave him and he would show me his new handsized tattoo, beaming with pride...I smacked my hand against my head and exclaimed, "toph you have the survival skills of a goldfish" and he started to laugh, cause it was funny as well as true. After he left i went through my Christensen collection looking for his painting and immediately desired it. I took some liberties to make it mine and have it relate to the boy. i just uploaded a bunch of older paintings that have long been gone, but that i only have little record of. The first year the studio was open was phenomenal. I'm aware some of them arent quite in focus, and all of them were taken with a low res camera, but here they are, and its good to see them again. |
