| 説明 | This record appealed to me in the charity shop because of its label and sleeve, but also because of its odd size: an 8 inch disc with a very small label. "By reducing the groove pitch and taking it nearer the centre of the record, Broadcast managed to play for the same time as a standard 10" record", according to the British Dance Band Encyclopaedia. Broadcast was a brand of Vocalion from the UK.The label claims: " No surface noise or scratch - Vivid & life-like reproduction". Nevertheless the sound is quite horrible, partly due of course to its age of around 80 years. Therefore I won't be playing the Welsh Guards' 'Military Church Parade' very often. |
