| 説明 | Red prickly pear, know to locals as "tuno indio". Not a local plant, but introduced from the Americas for its many uses (fruit can be eaten, "leafs" fed to cattle and cocchineal is its most common parasite).Warning for curious visitors: the plant and fruit usually have zillions of tiny pricks which can sting quite a bit. Use a piece of cardboard or some protection to pick even one of these things. Use a brush or roll the fruit on the floor to get rid of the nasty things, then peel and enjoy. They're ripe when they're deep red or orange (depending on variety). |
