| 説明 | My dad, Capt TJ Edwards RE is 3rd from left in the (short) 3rd row (glasses, smiling, shiny bonce) with a lei round his neck.There are 5 (white) British and 168 Indian men.Soon after this photo was taken he contracted polio and was invalided home.I'm delighted to say that this photo is featured in Sojourners To Settlers, a 2-volume publication by the Indian Heritage Centre in Singapore, about the history of the Tamils in South-East Asia. |
