| 説明 | As I was driving south one day this appeared on 880 in front of me. I pulled out my cell phone to take a picture and wound up with a video instead. I believe the large truck went over the Jersey barrier and struck a small truck head-on. Impact and/or fire killed both drivers. Traffic was crawling even before the emergency vehicles arrived because the two vehicles and the fire closed at least one lane each way. I felt the heat on my skin through the open car window as drove by. Of course I knew no details as I drove past, but it was clearly a big deal, and it makes me sad now to think of two lives lost. The road surface was badly damaged by the fire, and repaced that night. The next morning, it was fresh roadway and a memory, and traffic was not discrupted.062608_09161 |
