| 説明 | "If we realize who we are, the precepts are just a natural expression of that realization. It’s not to be held as “I should do this,” “I shouldn’t do that,” “I must do this,” and “I must not do that.” It’s not like that at all – it is not a set of commandments. It is the expression of the deepest wish within us to live this life not committing evil, doing good, and we can say either “liberating all sentient beings,” or “doing good for others.” The way we do that is by appreciating all life, and so we will not be taking life. We realize that others’ things aren’t to be taken or stolen. We appreciate that we don’t need to put others down and so forth.
