Jordan Clark of the Nevada National Guard's 92nd Civil Support Team talks with members of the San Francisco Fire Department outside of a decontamination tent the department established during a nighttime training mission, Jan. 28, 2019, on Alcatraz Landing at Pier 33 in San Francisco, on the first day of the Bay Exercise. National Guard civil support teams worked with local agencies, including the San Francisco Fire Department, to assess and respond to a supposed chemical attack on Alcatraz Island. BayEx is a weeklong exercise in the San Francisco area designed to bring multiple response agencies together to practice interagency interoperability during a large scale disaster.
