| 説明 | Wallace family plot in Section 22 of Riverside Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.Robert Wallace (1834-1911) was an Irish immigrant who opened a machine shop with John Parkhurst, Henry Coffinberry, and John Cowle which later became the Globe Iron Works. This company built the first iron ore carrier made of iron, the "Onoko", in 1882. With Parkhurst and Coffinberry, he established the Cleveland Ship Building Co., later consolidating all Cleveland shipyards with it into the American Ship Building Co. |
