| 説明 | Okay, so I opted for a larger and much stronger reach stacker instead of reducing the weight of the containers. Inside the stacker there are not less than 4 boat/train weights - this is absolutely necessary to handle those 250 g heavy containers. Plus there had to be two Technic linear actuators in order to get enough lifting power. Of course they are out of scale here, but don't look as bad as I thought they would. It's obvious that the stacker design had to be changed a lot due to all those requirements. However, a Technic "skeleton" remains inside. I also kept the steering though the steering lock should be larger, but I don't know how to do that. Plus I tried to keep those nice panels which provide quite unusual shapes in a Town surrounding. Maybe not the most beautiful solution but it works in my opinion. The boom had to be rebuilt completely - it's enormous and somewhat blocky, but very strong plus it can be extended via a gear, not a lever like before which wouldn't have worked with such a heavy duty setup. The main goal is already accomplished: to be able to stack 3 containers. However, there's still a lot of work to do regarding the design of the stacker and lots of details. Plus the operating of the actuators isn't very comfortable like this, but I probably don't find a better solution. Maybe you guys have an idea. In the background you can see an early version of a well car supposed to carry two 250 g containers. It's heavily inspired by wildchicken_13's great well car design (see www.flickr.com/photos/117697723@N02/25945427360/), but of course 9w. Weight is a problem here, too, especially when you want to keep the lines sleek, but there were already some tests which aren't too disappointing. Thanks for looking! |
