| 説明 | Sure enough, there are the monkeys! There were several of them in fact. Now I am not an animal export or a student of zoology, but from the looks of them, with their reddish faces, brownish fur and short tails, they appeared to be Stump- tailed Macaques, or Macaca arctoides. Their reddish faces initially made me think that they are Bonnet Macaques, but those animals are endemic to Indian are are not found in these parts of the world. A peaceful lot, they seemed to be here. These animals are sometimes also referred to as Bear- tailed Macaques. (Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, Nov. 2016) |
