| 説明 | The long pier at the Conservation Zone in Vietnam's Ha Long Bay is roughly partitioned, with a lock-able gate in between. Arriving boats set down their passengers in the first half of the pier where a ticketing booth runs along it's width. Either the passengers, or their guide, if they are part of a group, have to buy entrance tickets, then pass through a gate to get to the second half of the pier, where the guide will organize either your kayak or your boat ride. Since the kayakers in our group were taking a while, I decided to amble over to the first half of the pier, where there is a coffee counter and a gift shop. After browsing for a while, I tried to get back to our half of the pier, but the gate had been shut tight. I took a couple of seconds of frantic gesticulating before someone opened the gate to let me through. Fortunately, by this time the rest of our group had arrived as well, so we could get back to the V'Spirit Classic. (Ha Long Bay, Vietnam, Nov. 2016) |
