| 説明 | Photographs by: Julian Meehan.Word leaked out that Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull was going to meet Gautam Adani in Melbourne and provide $1 billion in loan funding from the Northern Infrastructure Fund for the Adani Carmichael coal mine to help build the 300km+ rail line to Abbott Point from the Galilee Basin. This is despite an election promise he made to Nemo that there would be no public funding provided for development of the coal mine, and the commitments made in ratifying the Paris Agreement to strive to keep temperatures to 1.5C and well below 2C. AYCC, ACF and 350.org pulled together this snap protest attracting 1000+ people with about 48 hours notice. |
