| 説明 | A high key shot of a gentleman at the races or at least in "at the races" gear. Wyndham-Quin was a name that I heard a lot in my childhood for some reason and less so today. Who were they and where did they lay their heads?The general consensus from the discussion on this image (see comments) is that this is Colonel Windham Henry Wyndham-Quin, and that it was created after 1901 (when he became known as Colonel), and before 1926 (when he became 5th Earl of Dunraven). The Wyndham-Quin family had property in Kilkenny, Carrick-on-Suir and the south east, and were seemingly wellknown in society and racing circles. The suggestion is that this "extracted" image probably captures Wyndham-Quin at a race meeting - possibly in the south east somewhere...Photographer: A. H.
