| 説明 | Wright had an affinity for Buddhas, Asian art and Pueblo pottery. When he took these art works home he moved them around frequently, placing them where they could be seen and experienced.“Wright just walked into stores and bought things,” said Margo Stipe, Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation curator and registrar of collections.“Wright lived with his stuff,” Stipe said. “There are tales of things being broken and he would just say, ‘These things happen.’ There’s not a pot here that hasn’t had some damage that was repaired over time.”Taliesin West, Frank Lloyd Wright’s winter home, is a renowned architectural gem in the Sonoran desert outside of Scottsdale, Arizona. It was completed between 1937 - 1959 and was also built as Wright’s workshop and school for his apprentices. Mr. Wright wintered at Taliesin West until his death in 1959 at the age of 91. Today it is the main campus of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture and houses the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation. The structure was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1982. |
