| 説明 | California Army National Guard Soldiers from the 149th Chemical Company based out of Turlock, Calif., prepare a casualty role-player for decontamination March 2, 2012, during the run phase of the External Evaluation (EXEVAL) of the 49th Military Police Brigade’s Homeland Response Force (HRF) at Camp Roberts, Calif. The 149th were testing and being evaluated on their capabilities as part of the HRF’s streamlined response to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) incidences. The notional scenario involves a tractor-trailer crashing into a building in downtown San Francisco and another exploding in front, releasing a vapor cloud of Hydrogen Fluoride from 500-pound cylinders. Simultaneously, a separate incident came from the Warfield Theatre in which an unknown chemical was released inside the building where 12,000 people were attending a sold-out country concert. During evacuation, a cargo truck outside the main entrance of the theatre exploded. Later on, an illegal chemical manufacturing plant was discovered in the Presidio and suspected of involvement in the attacks. (Army National Guard photo/Spc. Grant Larson) |
