| 説明 | PARWAN REFUGEE CAMP, Afghanistan -- Lt. Col. (Dr.) Thomas Knolmayer helps a Afghan girl try on donated shoes at a humanitarian assistance visit here. The clothes, shoes, coats and blankets brought to the refugee camp were donations made to Operation Care by American citizens. Donations increased after a 5-year-old Afghan boy arrived at the Craig Theater Hospital with out shoes. Colonel Knolmayer asked his wife to send a pair of their son's shoes for the boy. That started a shoe and clothing drive for people at the refugee camp and other communities in Afghanistan. Colonel Knolmayer is a general surgeon deployed here from Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska.
