| 説明 | The rune Mann, written in the last night's hoar frost. Runes were an alphabet used in some parts of Northern Europe before the general adoption of the Latin alphabet. Mann has the value of M in the Latin alphabet. Its name Mann means 'Man, Human Being' . In the Old English Rune Poem it is said of Mann: "In his mirth man is dear to his kinsmen. Yet each is bound to fail his fellow because the Lord, by his decree, wishes to commit the wretched body to the earth" - which all sounds a bit grim! I prefer to see it as two Wyn (Joy) runes (Shaped like a pointed P) kissing, symbolising a love of all Humankind - Old English Flower Power Mann! |
