| 説明 | I recently moved in with my Grandpa. I took this shot nearly a year ago last Christmas. His health is failing and I refuse to see him shuttled off to a home. His memory is failing and he is showing signs of dementia. I am trying to absorb all of his memories and stories before they fade or become distorted. I bought a digital voice recorder to help me with this task in case I might forget. He is an amazing man who has done so much. He spent the past five years of his life caring for my paralyzed Grandma until he could no longer take care of her himself. She was admitted to a care center in June. She passed away on October 12th. Since her passing Gpa has started to tell stories I have never heard and shown a caring, emotional side I have never seen. Everyday I am around him I appreciate him more, but it has been a struggle. I don't know how he has taken care of himself for so long, much less be a full time caregiver to my Gma. He says he does not have much to live for now that Gma is gone. Hopefully I can give him something to live for; something to hold on to. It's the least I can do for my hero. |
