Not the real stuff for sure, but just very thin metal foil in gold, silver and copper, 6 sheets for 2 €. Couldn't resist and had in my mind that perhaps one might apply this to tessellations. Search my folded tesses for an appropriate test candidate and gave it a try.Lessons learned: I got better, my first was the uppermost, then did them in a counterclockwise fashion. Still there were gaps which I filled with golden acrylic colour – visible but better as red shimming through. Hardest part is to remove the superfluous foil so to get accurate edges. I used a brush and a small palette knife, latter worked better but not perfect. Future plan is to apply this foil to a flagstone tessellation.. |
