The first generation Camaro was built from 1967-69, a 2+2 seat, 2 door coupe or convertible1968 got only a few changes, vent windows were deleted, side marker lights added, a more pointed grille and divided rear taillights.Three packages were available;The RS appearance package, it got hidden headlights, revised taillights and exterior bright trim.The SS performance package got the 350 or 396 V8, better suspension, 'Bumble Bee' nose striping, 396 big block cars got chrome hood inserts.The Z28 model got the solid lifter 302 V8, 4 speed and disc brakes, it’s purpose was to compete in the SCCA Trans Am Series.Engines; 140hp L26 230 and 155hp L22 250 6 cyls or 210hp LF7 327, 275hp L30 327, 255hp LM1 350, 295hp L48 350, 325hp L35 396 and 375hp L78 396 and 290hp Z28 302 V8s.This car has the Cowl Induction hood, an option on the SS and Z28, also Z28 style stripes. |
