| 説明 | Kaitaia, NZ 27 Oct 2005 Quest for BooksAlrina (on left) told us an interesting story. She was born during the war on the South Island - Christchurch, NZ. Her mom named her after the mother of a young Polsih soldier the family knew. The soldier later died in the Pacific. She had seen this store become available a year or so ago, and had made it a going concern. She had some good books, and if you are in Kaitaia area (Near the tip of the North Island), I would recommend you stop and shop.Afterwards, we stopped at Otago Esatates winery and bought 2 bottles of unoaked Chardonnay. The winery was run by Monty and his daughter, who had met our local wine merchant, Larry Schoonmaker. Doesn't get much better than wine and books along the beach.i102705 189 |
