説明 | The site of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, a narrow tortuous gorge on the Yangzi River between the towering Mount Haba and the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Yunnan, China. The mountains are 18,000 ft high, and the gorge is 4000 m deep. It is named for a mythical tiger which was said to have leaped across the river using a massive protuding rock as a stepping stone. The right hand bank has a public footpath cut into the jagged limestone rock.China 2008 |
