| 説明 | 040421-N-8921O-001 Oak Harbor, WA (Apr. 21, 2004)—Aircrew Survival Equipment man (EOD) Petty Officer 2nd Class, Timothy Mann, from Sacramento, California, Exits the back of a C-130 backwards at an altitude of 8,000 feet. PR2 (EOD) Mann is practicing alternate jumping techniques to better prepare him on how to recover into a controlled falling motion. PR2 (EOD) Mann is attached to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Eleven; their mission is to successfully exit the Aircraft using proper safety procedures and to hit their designated drop zone target. In the event of a real combat scenario, EODMU-11 team members would be required to locate a possible explosive device and disarm it.
