Donald Bullard, commander, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command presents the Silver Star with Combat Distinguishing Device to Chief Warrant Officer Two William A. Bastable at Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek, Va., May 26, for conspicuous gallantry and heroic achievement while serving as a Joint Task Force Lead Navigator. One Silver Star and 14 Bronze Stars, all of which included the Combat Distinguishing Device, were given to Sailors from Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit Two, Detachments 02, 20 and 28 for various actions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism.
