| 説明 | This is one of Dubuque's longstanding pizza parlors, although they sell more than just pizza. The Italian (pronounced EYE-talian) grinders are pretty good, too. My family's been eating here since I can remember, and in fact, there's a picture of me, taken here, in a wooden highchair in front of the fireplace after I was born (back then it was Shakey's Pizza). There's a counter where you place your order, and a step on the side with a window so the kids can watch the pizzas being made. There's also a small arcade with some videogames, and a door that leads to the bar on the other side of the restaurant that was always just a little mysterious when I was younger, because we never went over there. This was also one of the last places my father visited outside of the house after he was paralyzed. If you go, order the BBQ chicken pizza. It's good. |
