| 説明 | The We're Here group visit STONE & BRICK WALLS today.I have a love hate relationship with these stone stiles. They are, on the one hand, wonderful relics of a bygone age. All over the Mendip Hills walls are punctuated with huge stone slabs sunk vertically into their meandering lines. A couple of blocks are left proud from the wall creating simple steps and it is via these that access to public paths can be achieved.On the other hand my three legged arthritic collie can no longer jump over them and has to be hauled unceremoniously from one side to the other which she hates. |
