It is also the only place in town that makes mung bean pie packed with tender mung beans and creamy taro binding.I've never had the broken rice there, but I wasn't disappointed by the amount of accompaniments to the mound of rice. At first looks, the rice doesn't seem all that special, but the texture of each grain was firm and had a wonderful fragrance that can only come from lard, probably pork, mixed into the rice during cooking. If that disgusts you, think of coconut rice and how the rich coconut milk coats each grain of rice.Thanh Ha also do wonderful Vietnamese Pancakes that is also another favourite of ours.
