| 説明 | On the 4th October 1976 the iconic High Speed Train (HST) entered regular service on British Rail's Western Region, and running at 125mph. Forty years on (minus one day!) the HST is still going strong, providing the backbone of Great Western Railway's high speed services, and a number of other train operating companies. On 3rd October 2016 Great Western Railway's 1L54 1028 Swansea to London Paddington is seen at its destination. Paddington and HSTs seem synonymous, and it's hard to imagine that soon they will be displaced from the GWR network by a new fleet of electric trains. |
