No-Knead Bread - Just out of the oven / Denna Jones

| 説明 | Bake in a 450 degree farenheit oven. I baked at 230 centigrade. The receipe calls for a covered 6-8 quart capacity pot which you preheat in the oven for about 45 minutes I used a 3 quart capacity Muji Japanese Donabe Iga Earthenware pot with lid (which has a small steam hole). It worked perfectly. I halved the dough and baked in two separate batches. The bread bakes so cleanly, I was able to remove the first loaf and bake the second one without cleaning the pot. The bread was perfectly baked on all sides - so it just lifts right out - no sticking, no prying. The recipe says to bake for 30 minutes covered, then 15 to 30 minutes uncovered. My oven is a bit quirky and so I only baked it covered for 35 minutes. It was browned, perfectly baked, and didn't require the additional baking time. |
