| 説明 | Since the parade was moving painfully slowly, and since it was getting a bit too crowded there, I repaired to the edge of the parade when I spotted this gorgeously illuminated Hindu temple. This is probably one of the entrances to the centrepoint of all this Pooram thing- the Vadukkanathan temple. Of course going in was not an option for apart from the fact that I am not exactly a believer, my large dSLR might not have gone down with the temple authorities as almost all Hindu temples in India frown upon photography. It would be total chaos inside, and at any rate, the Pooram parade/ procession was already well under way, so no detracting from that! (Trichur/ Thrissur, Kerala, India, Apr. 2016) |
