| 説明 | Mary-Jane Mahoney (Faculty of Health Sciences) & Tim discuss the student survey data from the BACHS project last year.Overview: Large unit of study, compulsary for students across a range of health science subjects, with heavy scheduling difficulties (suitable venues for large cohorts; scheduling for a suitable time for students in a range of courses, etc) and increased pressure on face-to-face hours.Tested intervention: Move face-to-face contact to small-group sessions-- tutorials rather than lectures. Instead, trial moving some lecture materials online (3 lectures of about 13). Survey students as to how they felt their understanding / learning went with each method: * survey online for the online lectures* survey on paper for the face-to-face, traditional lectures.I should also mention: This was at Gosia's farewell lunch.
