| 説明 | 21 July 2016. Visit to the refurbished but sadly shrunken new Marcus Garvey Library with members of the Friends of Marcus Garvey Library community group. Very odd though it may seem, someone thinks that the repainted and reconfigured building needs umpteen pointless repetitions of the ugly, unnecessary and expensive Haringey Council logo on the windows and walls. I have posted other photos and comments about the logo - one of several absurd vanity projects led by Haringey elected local councillor and "cabinet member" Joe Goldberg (JoeGo as I like to think of him.)Wall space in a public building could and should be used for any number of positive and pleasing purposes. Below is a sign I spotted in Manchester Central Library. It has a serious purpose and meaning. Haringey's is a bad joke. ___________________________________ |
