説明 | Even when abundant in mountain meadows, Bromus carinatus is bunchgrass with 1-few stems per bunch, very hairy leaf sheaths (typical of bromegrasses), and spikelets with lemmas that are variegated with straw color at the base and a darker pigment distally. The lemma awns tend to be distinctly shorter than the lemma body. As with most bromegrasses, Bromus carinatus tends to be more abundant in disturbed settings (e.g., trailside or mountain meadows with a history of overgrazing). |
