| 説明 | The well developed linear basal leaves of Erigeron gracilis are generally spreading to mat forming, which is indicative of its slender branched caudex. This Erigeron is common in mountain big sagebrush steppe and adjacent parkland and montane to subalpine meadows. The stems leaves are abruptly reduced in size relative to the basal leaves, glandular hairs are lacking, stem and involucral hairs are appressed, and flowering stems bear one flowering head. This is a shorter statured fleabane, up to 20 cm tall, compared to the coexisting Erigeron glabellus, which is typically over 20 cm and up to 50 cm tall. Erigeron gracilis has one flowering head per flowering stem whereas Erigeron glabellus has multiple flowering heads per flowering stem. This site lies towards the northwest end of the Lamar Valley. |
