| 説明 | Photo by Greg Shine, BLM Nestled on a small high desert parcel along the North Fork Malheur River and accessible by a six-mile drive on a gravel road, Chukar Park Recreation Site is a quiet place that features a picnic area, vault toilets, and 18 camping sites.One of only two year-round fee camping areas in the BLM’s Vale District in Eastern Oregon, Chukar Park’s pull-in camp units have tables and grills, and several have riverfront access. A convenient tent-only camping area provides additional accommodations.Directions: From US Highway 20 at Juntura go north for 6 miles on graveled Beulah Reservoir road to the site. Open all year, $5/night/vehicle.RV limit 28 feet. Drinking water available from May-October. Pets allowed on leash. |
