| 説明 | Somerset House was the official records office of the U.K. The current structure was built in 1776-1796. Waterloo Bridge is in the foreground. It was originally the site of a palace started by Edward Seymour, Duke of Someset in 1549. He was known as the Protector Somerset, as he was effectively regent for the boy King Edward VI. The palace was not completed when Somerset was executed in 1552. |
