| 説明 | I stopped for some lunch in Thirsk en-route to a poetry weekend at the Bronte Parsonage Museum in Haworth and spotted this blue plaque. The Three Tuns, formerly a coaching inn is now part of the Wetherspoon PubCo estate. Given the date of the Wordsworth's visit I'm guessing they broke their journey here either to or from a visit to the Hutchinsons' at Sockburn from their Dove Cottage home in Grasmere.Dorothy Wordsworth 1771 - 1855.William Wordsworth 1770 - 1850. |
