| 説明 | There are a number of deities represented throughout Tirumala. The main draw is the larger Shri Venkateshvara Temple, but cameras are not allowed, so I don't have any pictures. Needless to say, it was an amazing experience: 50,000 to 100,000 pilgrims make the journey to Tirumala every day. They wait two to three days to get a place in line to visit the main temple. When they are finally called, they wait an additional four to five hours in line to make it into the main temple, which is constructed of gold. Entering the hallway to the inner sanctum with hundreds of frenzied worshippers is an experience I will never forget. |
