| 説明 | The sign on one of the worst barracks in the Auschwitz 1 (Stammlager) camp. In block 11 (the prison block) numerous prisoners were tortured and executed in the yard. In the basement there are several prison cells, among them standing cells (four prisoners in a small cell) and it was also in some of the basement cells that the first experiments with gas in Auschwitz were carried out. |
