| 説明 | The Irish Hunger Memorial (artist Brian Tolle) is a unique green monument in Battery Park City. It commemorates the famine of 1845-52, and the subsequent exodus from Ireland to the New World. The plants, stones, and cottage found in the memorial are all from Ireland. Apologies for the rather grey photo, but the weather was being somewhat authentic for Ireland while I was there. |
