| 説明 | We had no map, no directions and were on a supposedly well marked path. If that was a well marked path, I'm a giddy monkey living in Gibraltar. We'd done most of it on instinct – hoping that we were going the right way. Finally we met some other paths and found the way to Ulvik. Or should that be ways? We could follow the green route or the red route. Or if we walked down a bit further, we could go down another route. Three routes to Ulvik. None of which were marked as the Old Postal road.Now everything about the Old Postal Road says this is a popular hiking path. How it became a popular hiking path is anyones guess given they make it as difficult as possible for hikers to actually work out which confounded way to go.In the end we picked a path at random. By mere fluke we picked the right one.Also it has to be said, given this was a popular hiking path, and given the day was Saturday, why hadn't we seen anyone on it? And I mean ANYONE?Taken on day 9 of our fjord based holiday in Norway. |
