| 説明 | This is probably (probably) my favourite Shorefast artist studio. It's called Tower studio and it's the antithesis of Squish studio. Tower Studio stands alone, out in the open. Accessible from a main road, the path there is boggy, so you have to walk a long, narrow boardwalk. The studio looks as though someone has come along and pulled it from the top, stretching and slightly twisting it's dimensions. It's angularity is in stark contrast to the granite and boulders around it. It's beautiful, if a little foreboding. I love it.This is one of the large-format pictures I've got on show at the Roastery, 401 Richmond West, (near Spadina) in Toronto, until June 27. I'm there Sat May 14 from 11am - 3pm if you feel like popping in to say hi (coffee's on me). |
