| 説明 | Is this Arizona Asteroid dust in the early morning sunlight? I was camping with my son on the Mogollon Rim on Wednesday and was awoken at 4AM by what I thought was thunder or a tree falling. It was SUPER loud, I can say, and it's a sound I still have in my memory for its distinct nature. I found out when we got back that the sound was the Arizona Asteroid, and we were only about 20 km from where it hit, or at least vaporized! The asteroid is estimated to have been about 5m wide and sent a shock wave heard across the whole state; the light flash, several times stronger than the sun, was caught on numerous video. This image was taken at about 7AM, which was three hours after the "impact". |
