| 説明 | Nazaré is a city of fishing, tourists, and beachgoers. The old part of the city is "O Sitio," 110 m (360 ft) above water level. You reach it from the beach area ("A Praia") by the funicular, built in 1899. When I visited Nazare in 1968, most of the tourists were Portuguese. The next largest group was French. |
