| 説明 | The Standard Motor Company was established in the UK in 1903, not only producing cars but the Ferguson tractor as well.In 1936 a new range of Flying Standards were introduced with streamlined bodies, a sloping waterfall style grille and a sloping rear. The Flying Nine, Ten, Twelve and Fourteen were 4 cyl cars, the Sixteen and Twenty, 6 cyl and a few Flying V8s were made.An update in 1938 saw a new chassis and suspension, a notchback instead of sloping back, the smaller Flying Eight introduced. After the war, they had a three-inch wider body giving more interior space. These sidevalve machines; were simply-engineered but robust. The vast majority of 12s and 14s appeared as saloons, although drophead coupés and estates were also available. 1938 Flying Twelve engine; 1343cc sidevalve 4 cyl |
