| 説明 | A contractor clears and prepares a site on Hutchinson Island, Savannah, Georgia, to construct a dissolved oxygen injection system. The DO injection system, consisting of a series of Speece cones, will remove water from the Savannah River, dissolve pure oxygen into the water, then reinject it into the river. The process is an environmental mitigation for the Savannah Harbor Expansion Project (SHEP) which will deepen the fourth busiest container port in America from 42 feet deep to 47 feet deep. This will allow newer, larger cargo vessels to enter and leave the port more easily and efficiently. |
