| 説明 | Panasonic GX7 + Leica DG Macro-Elmarit 45mm F2.8 ASPH OISFrom 8 May 2016 onwards, I have been following a small population of this rare wasp-mimic hoverfly in the Parc de Woluwé. Observations mostly took place on half a dozen bleeding horse chestnut trees, scattered throughout the Parc. One last individual was seen on 21 June. I recently noticed that there is much more suitable tree habitat (horse chestnuts with sap runs) for this species in the surroundings of the Parc, it might thus be worthwhile to further extend the search to these areas in spring 2017.Individuals are rather approachable once they have landed next to a sap run, provided one does avoid any fast movements. |
